Founded in 1989, this Ottawa-based, family owned and operated company is built on a solid foundation of home building expertise.

President and founder Robert D. Riggs, a respected figure in the home building industry for over fifty years, gained his experience as a carpenter in Scotland before coming to Canada, eventually becoming Vice-President of North American Residential Construction for Costain Ltd. (now known as Coscan Brookfield Homes). 

In the 90s, Muirfield Homes partnered with Coscan Brookfield Homes to build over 750 homes in various award-winning communities throughout our region.  Since Coscan Brookfield's departure from the Ottawa home building scene, Muirfield Homes has continued the proud tradition.
